Watford striker Mileta Rajovic has travelled to Denmark for a medical with Brondby ahead of a season-long loan move.
The Dane finished as the Championship club’s top scorer last season with 11 goals after arriving from Swedish club Kalmar for £1.3million ($1.6million). He has found the net three times in Watford’s opening four games of the 2024-25 campaign.
Watford added Bournemouth striker Daniel Jebbison to the squad on deadline day on loan and Rajovic is set to be behind both him and Vakoun Bayo in the pecking order.
The structure of the 25-year-old’s loan move to Brondby — where he played in the academy as a youngster — is being finalised but is due to include a recall option.
Denmark’s transfer window closes tonight at midnight local time, which is 11pm UK time.
Brondby finished runners-up in the league last season, they lost in the qualification round for the UEFA Conference League last month so won’t feature in Europe.
Watford’s unbeaten start to the season came to an end on Sunday with a 1-0 defeat to Sheffield United.
