Trevoh Chalobah is in line to make his Premier League debut for Crystal Palace at Everton on Saturday.
The 25-year-old centre-back is yet to feature for the club after joining on a season-long loan from Chelsea in the summer.
Chalobah could start in place of USMNT defender Chris Richards, who will miss the trip to Merseyside after picking up a hamstring injury.
Palace head coach Oliver Glasner also said Brazilian midfielder Matheus França is approaching full fitness. The 20-year-old signed a five-year contract at Selhurst Park last summer but has not played for the club since joining.
“(França and Chalobah) are available, but França won’t be in the squad after it was his first complete week with us,” said Glasner. “After almost six months, it would be unfair to him to be in the squad – but he feels well and he has no problems.
“Trevoh will be in the squad, and he is available, but we lost Chris Richards this week. He is not available for the next week as he has a hamstring injury.”
Glasner also confirmed midfielder Cheick Doucouré and summer signing Chadi Riad remain unavailable.
Palace are one of six Premier League sides — along with Saturday’s opponents Everton — still searching for their first win of the season.
The south London club are 16th in the table having taken three points from their opening five games.
