Pregnant Gisele Bündchen spent Christmas in Costa Rica with boyfriend Joaquim Valente.
The supermodel, 44, showed off her baby bump in a black bikini during a December 24 beach day, according to photos published by the Daily Mail on Sunday, December 29. A shirtless Valente, 37, stood by her side in the surf sporting swim trunks.
Bündchen and Valente started dating in summer 2023 and are now expecting their first baby together. (Bündchen also shares son Benjamin, 14, and daughter Vivian, 12, with ex-husband Tom Brady. She is the stepmother to Brady’s son Jack, 17, whom he shares with ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan.)
“They’re deeply committed to each other, but there are currently no plans for marriage,” a source exclusively revealed to Us Weekly in November, noting at the time that Bündchen and her new beau were “happy about the pregnancy” and not “talking about marriage.”
The insider noted: “They’re in love and happy. But right now, marriage is not on top of their to-do list.”
News of the pregnancy broke October 28, and days later, Bündchen showed her growing bump while stepping out in Miami in a little black dress.
Two years ago, Bündchen and Brady, 47, divorced after more than 13 years of marriage. A source told Us in November that the retired NFL quarterback was at peace with her decision to expand her family — and move on with a new man.
“He wants to see her happy,” the source said of Brady, noting that he and Bündchen remain amicable following their October 2022 split. “They maintain a coparenting relationship that’s solely focused on their children’s well-being.”
In October, an insider told Us that Brady was one of the first people to learn about Bündchen’s pregnancy.
“When Gisele told the kids about her pregnancy, she made sure to let Tom know as well,” an insider close to Brady shared at the time. “This happened a few months ago. She wanted to give him that courtesy and knew the kids would tell him either way.”
According to the source, Valente has “developed a positive relationship with [Gisele’s] children” and “participated in family activities and supports [Benjamin and Vivian’s] interests.”
Meanwhile, the kids are “looking forward” to the arrival of their younger sibling, the insider added.
Bündchen and Valente, who are both from Brazil, met when she enrolled son Benjamin at Valente’s martial arts academy in Miami. She began training with him soon after.
“I feel stronger, more confidence and empowered since I started practicing self-defense,” she wrote in a February 2022 Instagram post featuring Valente, thanking him and his brothers for “being awesome teachers and for making training so much fun.”
When her divorce from Brady “was finalized, they moved in together and have been attached at the hip ever since,” a separate source told Us earlier this year.
