Los Angeles Dodgers catcher Will Smith’s World Series cheering section got bigger — and cuter — with the arrival of his second baby.

Will’s wife, Cara Smith, gave birth to daughter Layton Elizabeth on Tuesday, October 22. The proud parents announced her arrival via Instagram one day later.

Will and Cara, both 29, shared the first photo of Layton via Instagram, alongside her full name and date of birth.

The Smiths announced in May that Cara was pregnant with baby No. 2. (They also share 2-year-old daughter Charlotte.)

Sienna Miller, Josh Duhamel and more stars have expanded their families in 2024. Miller also shares older daughter Marlowe with ex-fiancé Tom Sturridge. “I spent so much time preparing for the birth […]

“Our little family is growing,” Will and Cara captioned maternity photos with Charlotte, who pointed to a floral cake that read, “Baby.”

Will and Cara met as students at the University of Louisville, ultimately getting married in December 2020.

“Truly a magical day,” she captioned wedding photos at the time. “I can’t stop looking back through pictures. I remember every second of this moment with you.”

After two years of marriage, Will and Cara confirmed they were expanding their family.

“We’re having a baby!!! Arriving this fall and we can’t wait to meet you sweet little one🤍,” they jointly wrote via Instagram in April 2022. “The most amazing and exciting new chapter yet.”

Will and Cara welcomed Charlotte the following October.

“Happy birthday to the most joyful, curious, observant, persistent, silly, loving little girl,” Cara wrote via Instagram last year on Charlotte’s first birthday. “There are no words to describe how incredible this year has been. From leaving the hospital thinking ‘now what do we do’… to watching you grow before our eyes… now we just wish time wouldn’t move so fast, but since it does, we are soaking it all in.”

Charlotte has been a staple at dad Will’s Dodgers games since her birth. (The MLB catcher was drafted by the L.A. team in 2016.)

Cara and Charlotte were both there when Will and the Dodgers won the National League Championship Series earlier this month, subsequently earning a slot in the upcoming World Series.

“We are going to the WORLD SERIES✨🧢⚾️👏🏼💙,” Cara wrote via Instagram on Monday, October 21.

The championship series between the Dodgers and the New York Yankees kicks off Friday, October 25, in Los Angeles. It is not presently known whether Cara and newborn Layton will attend the debut game — there are seven total in the series — considering it will be held three days after the infant’s birth.
