Browns fire OC Ken Dorsey, OL coach Andy Dickerson after 1 season in Cleveland: Source

The Cleveland Browns have fired offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey and offensive line coach Andy Dickerson, a team source said. Both Dorsey and Dickerson were in their first seasons in Cleveland.

The moves come one day after the Browns’ season ended with a 35-10 loss to the Baltimore Ravens to drop the team to 3-14 — their worst record since 2017.

Dorsey, the 43-year-old former Browns quarterback, came to Cleveland after spending the previous 1 1/2 seasons as the Buffalo Bills’ offensive coordinator. The Bills fired Dorsey in mid-November last season after Buffalo’s offense seemed to slow down, resulting in the team’s 5-5 record before Dorsey’s dismissal.

Cleveland’s’ offense floundered in 2024, leading the unit to finishing last in the league in numerous categories, via TruMedia:

  • Expected points added per drive
  • EPA per play
  • Turnover margin
  • EPA per dropback
  • Third down conversion percentage
  • Points per game

The Browns leave the 2024 season with questions about their offensive personnel. Most notably at quarterback, where Deshaun Watson hasn’t played anywhere near what the Browns expected after acquiring him from the Houston Texans in a March 2022 trade.
