Amad and Matthijs de Ligt have returned to training ahead of today’s game, but will not be involved.
Amad, 22, sustained an ankle ligament injury in February which the club feared could end his season, while 25-year-old De Ligt has been out of action since an ankle injury suffered during the 1-0 defeat against Nottingham Forest on April 1.
Amad’s potential return comes at a good time following the news of defender Diogo Dalot’s injury. The Athletic reported last week the Portugal international may not play again this season after suffering a calf injury.
United also confirmed Toby Collyer was seen doing individual training with a coach on Wednesday, before the main 28-man group emerged. The midfielder has missed his side’s last six games due to a leg injury.
