Good morning and welcome to our live coverage of today’s heavyweight boxing clash between Anthony Joshua and Francis Ngannou.
Joshua, the two-time former unified world heavyweight champion, returns to Saudi Arabia for a fourth time, having defeated both Andy Ruiz Jr. and Otto Wallin in the country but experiencing a painful defeat in his rematch with the current king of the division, Oleksandr Usyk.
Ngannou is also back in town for just his second professional boxing match, after his incredibly impressive — and controversial — loss to Tyson Fury in October 2023.
Fury, the WBC and lineal champion, will be ringside later today and will expect to fight the winner of today’s contest should he twice overcome Usyk later this year.
