One day after the Green Bay Packers released him, running back Aaron Jones has agreed to join the Minnesota Vikings, league sources said Tuesday.

Jones, 29, spent the last seven years with Green Bay, which drafted him in 2017. But the Packers released Jones on Monday. The Athletic reported the Packers asked Jones to take about a 50 percent pay cut, if not more, entering the final year of a four-year, $48 million contract.

The Packers agreed to terms with former Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs on Monday.
