Man Acting Jesus on Good Friday Beaten to Death; 12 Arrests Made


GRANADA, SPAIN – The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Granada, Spain has beaten a man acting Jesus during the re-enactment of Jesus’ death to death on Good Friday.

The man, whose name was given as Francis Silva is reported to have acted Jesus for 6 years; 6 times for the Catholic Church n Granada.

The National Police Corps of Spain says its outfit has since arrested 12 persons who are assisting with investigation.

Christians around the globe are celebrating Good Friday as part of a week-long Easter festivities to commemorate the death of Jesus Christ. Jesus’ death is re-enacted by various congregations but it has not yet been established if the actors are beaten for real.

The Granada incident is one of the many past reports about Jesus’ actor sustaining injuries or dying.
